Acceptable Use Policy

This Policy is intended to ensure lawful, ethical, secure, and responsible use of Bharosak services.

By accessing or using Bharosak, users agree to comply with this Policy.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to:

• Customers;

• SMEs;

• Fleet operators;

• Vendors;

• Employees;

• Contractors;

• API users;

• Platform administrators;

• Third-party integrators;

• Any person or entity accessing Bharosak services.

3. Permitted Use

Bharosak may be used only for legitimate business and compliance-related purposes including:

• Vendor onboarding;

• Employee verification;

• Driver verification;

• Vehicle compliance management;

• Business onboarding workflows;

• Compliance tracking;

• Operational due diligence;

• Fraud prevention;

• Internal business verification processes.

Users must use Bharosak lawfully, responsibly, and ethically.

4. Consent & Authorization Requirements

Users shall ensure that:

• Proper consent has been obtained before submitting personal or business information;

• Verification requests are legally authorized;

• Submitted data is accurate and lawfully collected;

• Applicable privacy and employment laws are followed.

Users shall maintain records of consent where required.

5. Prohibited Activities

Users shall not use Bharosak for any unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, harmful, or unauthorized purpose.

Prohibited activities include but are not limited to:

A. Illegal Activities

• Violating applicable laws or regulations;

• Identity theft;

• Fraudulent onboarding;

• Forgery or falsification of records;

• Submission of fake documents;

• Money laundering activities;

• Criminal or unlawful investigations.

B. Unauthorized Surveillance & Privacy Violations

• Monitoring individuals without authorization;

• Harassment or stalking;

• Unauthorized background checks;

• Privacy infringement;

• Collection of data without lawful basis.

C. Discrimination & Unethical Usage

Users shall not use Bharosak to unlawfully discriminate on the basis of:

• Religion;

• Caste;

• Ethnicity;

• Gender;

• Sexual orientation;

• Disability;

• Political affiliation;

• Any legally protected category.

D. Misuse of Verification Systems

Users shall not:

• Conduct bulk unauthorized searches;

• Abuse verification APIs;

• Attempt to bypass verification restrictions;

• Submit fabricated verification requests;

• Use Bharosak for non-business espionage purposes.

E. Cybersecurity Violations

Users shall not:

• Attempt unauthorized access;

• Circumvent security controls;

• Reverse engineer systems;

• Introduce malware or malicious code;

• Perform scraping, automated extraction, or denial-of-service attacks;

• Interfere with platform integrity or availability.

F. Credential Abuse

Users shall not:

• Share login credentials improperly;

• Use another person’s account without authorization;

• Attempt credential stuffing or unauthorized authentication attempts.

6. API Usage Restrictions

Where APIs are provided or integrated:

Users shall not:

• Resell restricted raw data;

• Circumvent API limits;

• Cache prohibited data beyond permitted durations;

• Misrepresent API results;

• Use APIs in violation of third-party agreements.

API usage may be monitored and rate-limited.

7. Data Handling Obligations

Users are responsible for ensuring:

• Data submitted is lawful;

• Information is accurate to the best of their knowledge;

• Sensitive data is handled responsibly;

• Verification requests are proportionate and justified.

Users shall avoid unnecessary collection or sharing of sensitive information.

8. Intellectual Property Restrictions

Users shall not:

• Copy or reproduce platform systems without authorization;

• Misuse Bharosak branding or trademarks;

• Reverse engineer proprietary workflows;

• Republish proprietary content unlawfully.

All intellectual property rights remain reserved by Bharosak or respective owners.

9. Monitoring & Enforcement

Bharosak reserves the right to:

• Monitor platform usage;

• Review suspicious activities;

• Investigate misuse;

• Restrict or suspend access;

• Remove harmful content;

• Cooperate with lawful requests from authorities.

Monitoring may be conducted for:

• Security;

• Fraud prevention;

• Operational integrity;

• Legal compliance.

10. Suspension & Termination

Bharosak may suspend, restrict, or terminate access without prior notice for:

• Violation of this Policy;

• Fraudulent conduct;

• Unauthorized verification requests;

• Security threats;

• Non-payment;

• Abuse of services;

• Legal or regulatory concerns.

11. Reporting Violations

Suspected misuse, abuse, fraud, or security concerns may be reported to:

12. Cooperation with Authorities

Bharosak may cooperate with:

13. No Guarantee of Continuous Access

Bharosak reserves the right to:

• Modify services;

• Restrict features;

• Introduce rate limits;

• Suspend APIs;

• Perform maintenance;

• Discontinue certain services.

Availability may depend on third-party systems and infrastructure.

14. Limitation of Liability

Users remain solely responsible for their actions, decisions, and legal compliance while using Bharosak services.

Bharosak shall not be liable for misuse of services by customers, users, or third parties.

15. Policy Updates

This Policy may be updated periodically.

Continued use of Bharosak services after updates constitutes acceptance of revised terms.

Annexure A — Examples of Prohibited Use Cases

The following examples are strictly prohibited:

• Verifying individuals without consent;

• Running background checks for harassment;

• Monitoring competitors unlawfully;

• Using fake employee onboarding requests;

• Uploading forged licences or RCs;

• Attempting mass extraction of verification data;

• Using Bharosak for unlawful surveillance.

Annexure B — Suggested Customer Undertaking

Users should acknowledge:

“I confirm that all verification requests submitted through Bharosak are lawful, authorized, and supported by appropriate consent wherever required under applicable law.”
